Kimberly Y. Brooks

Kimberly Y. Brooks, 50 of Chicago, IL and formerly of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at an Omaha, NE hospital after a 3 year battle with cancer. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. Visitation will be from 11:00 - 1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Kim was born February 25, 1965 in Denver, Co; she was the daughter of Reginald and Flora (Ware) Brooks. Kim grew up in Chicago and graduated from South Shore High School in 1982. She had worked at Gateway, MCI and most recently Home Depot. Kim enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her son: Casanova Montiez Brooks and daughter in law: Julie Brooks of Omaha, NE; her mother: Flora Brooks of Omaha, NE; her father: Reginald Brooks of Chicago, IL; her grandson: Casanova Montiez Brooks Jr. of Omaha, NE; her brother: Darryl Montiez Brooks of Batavia, IL; 3 sisters: Siobhan Carter, Tia Brooks and Tiffany Brooks all of Chicago, IL; her nieces: Jessica Smith and Miciha Brooks both of Chicago, IL. Kim was preceded in death by her grandparents, 2 aunts Ceceilia and Patricia Ware, her uncle: Jimmie Montiez Ware.
