Helen M. Kellison

Helen (Heeren) Kellison, 98 of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at a local care facility after a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Rev. Kenny Hsu will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Helen was born December 26, 1916 in LeMars, IA; she was the daughter of William and Mary (Oltmans) Heeren. Helen came to Sioux City with her family as a child. She attended Woodrow Wilson Junior High. Helen married Wilbur Kellison March 4, 1939 in Sioux City. He died February 14, 1984 in San Diego, CA. She worked for Western States Manufacturing for 40 years retiring in 1977. Helen was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Survivors include her nephews: Frank Heeren, Jr of Sioux City, Lynn Heeren of Sheridan, WY and Dan Heeren of Clay Center, KS. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Wilbur. She was the last of family, having been preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
