SIOUX CITY, IA | Kevin C. Swanson, 55, of Sioux City, died Thursday, July 30, 2015 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave. Rev. Merrill Muller will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 P.M. Sunday with the family present 5-7 P.M. and a prayer service at 7 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Kevin was born Aug. 24, 1959, in Sioux City the son of Robert and Carolyn (Roos) Swanson. As a young child, Kevin and his family lived in the northwest states before relocating back to Sioux City. He attended Sioux City schools and graduated from East High School. Kevin was employed at J.C. Penney's in Sioux City. Survivors include his partner in life, Jim Noack; a sister, Jana Palmesano and her husband, John; nephews, Kyle and Joey; niece Kelli; uncle and aunt, Kenny and Char Swanson of Minnesota; aunt, Shirley Moldt of Davenport, IA; aunt and uncle Vena and Rodney Blackmore of Hinton, IA; cousins; and many close friends and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his parents and maternal and paternal grandparents.
