SIOUX CITY, IA | Jeffrey A. "Jeff" Vock, 46, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at his home from natural causes. Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. David Zirpel officiating. Private graveside services will be at a later date in Lawn Ridge Cemetery in Coleridge, Nebraska. Visitation with the family present will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave. Condolences may be sent online at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Jeff was born July 13, 1969 in Sioux City the son of James R. and Karen (Treiber) Vock. He graduated from Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School in 1988. Jeff attended Western Iowa Technical Community College where he studied auto body and fender. He was currently employed at GCC Ready Mix Concrete. Jeff was baptized Aug. 17, 1969 at Faith Lutheran Church. On May 6, 1984 he was confirmed at Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church. Jeff was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed working on cars, reading and hanging out with his friends. Jeff will be remembered by his huge personality and was loved by many. Survivors include his mother, Karen Vock of Sergeant Bluff; a sister and her husband, Jodi and John Kohn of Cherokee, IA; his aunts and uncles, Ron (Becky) Treiber of Alcester, SD, Cindy (Jim) Lynott of Hawarden, IA, Brian (Ann) Swift of Sioux Center, IA, Joan (Jim) Cautrell of Magnet, NE, Milt Peterson of Omaha, NE, Jacie (Terry) Burbach of Coleridge, NE, Julie (Shayne) Murphy of Grand Island, NE, Jean (Jim) Salisbury of Lincoln, NE; many cousins and friends; and his beloved dog, Gus. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Vock, grandparents, Walter and Evelyn Treiber, Clarence and Helen Vock and two aunts Joyce Peterson and LeAnn Swift. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be distributed at a later date.
