Roger N. Schnaible, 77, of Sioux City passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015 at his home in Sioux City. There will be a Graveside service at 9:30 a.m. with Military Rites by the 185th Air Honor Guard at Arlington Cemetery in Moville, IA. A celebration of life will follow at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2015 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Darrin Vick officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com Roger was born on June 24, 1938 in Java, SD to Berthold and Lydia (Haux) Schnaible. He graduated from Java High School and received his Associates of Art degree from Sioux Empire College. He served his country in the US Air Force for 4 years. He was united in marriage to Janice Johnson on January 10, 1960 in Moville, IA. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he joined the 185th Tactical Fighter Group and continued to serve his country for another 32 years. He retired as a Chief of Quality Control. He is survived by his wife Jan Schnaible of Sioux City; 2 Sons Mark (Trish McCaffrey) Schnaible of New York City, NY; Tim (Nadean) Schnaible of Charleston, SC; Grandson Jacob Schnaible of Charleston, SC; and 2 brothers Ray Schnaible of Java, SD; and Robert (Judy) Schnaible of Cambridge, MN. He was preceded in death by parents, mother and father in law Ethel and Homer Johnson, sister Ruby Birkholt, niece Laura Schnaible, brother in law Gary Peters, and sister in law Evelyn Stubbs.
