Patricia J. Jacobson, 78 of Sioux City passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Visitation with the family present will be from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Patricia was born October 23, 1936 in Sioux City; she was the daughter of Carl and Myrtle (Varley) Lambert. Patricia grew up in Sioux City and attended Sioux City schools. She married Donald "Jack" Jacobson April 8, 1973 in Sioux City; he passed away on November 24, 2005 in Sioux City. Patricia was primarily a homemaker but she had worked for several businesses in the Sioux City area over the years. She enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, cooking and spending time with her family. Survivors include her children: Carolyn Tague of Sioux City, Catherine Pruitt of Glens Ferry, ID, Kimberly Johnson of South Sioux City, NE, Teresa Stevens of Shakopee, MN, Steve Jacobson (Jeanne) of Sioux City, Barb Wingert of Sioux City, Linda Hansen of Sioux City, Dave Jacobson (Diann) of Sioux City, Kate Rohde (Brad) of Lawton, IA, Mary Taylor of Sioux City; a sister: Bonnie Hurley of Des Moines, IA; 38 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jack, 2 daughters: Cindy Bennett and Lynnette "Corky" West; 2 brothers: William and Earl Lambert; a grandson: Mark Kempers and a granddaughter Meggan Wright. The family would like to extend a thank you to Rachel and all of the staff of Hospice of Siouxland.
