Joseph Metz, age 52, of South Sioux City, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015, as the result of an automobile accident near Onawa, Iowa. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, July 6, 2015, at Frederick's Funeral Home in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Joe's family will greet friends from 5 PM to 7 PM. Joseph A., son of Robert and Jan (Whitfield) Metz, was born August 28, 1962, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He grew up in Cincinnati and attended Diamond Oaks High School. On September 19, 1986, Joe was united in marriage with Rhonda Weiss in Cincinnati. Three sons were born to this union. For his entire career, Joe worked in the agriculture chemical and fertilizer business. In 2013, he and Rhonda moved to South Sioux City, Nebraska; a move they truly cherished. Joe enjoyed making music, playing guitar, and caring for his horses and dogs. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his boys and grandchildren. Joe is survived by: his wife Rhonda Metz of South Sioux City, Nebraska; three sons: Joey, Zach and Austin Metz; three grandchildren: Skylar, J.J. and Aubriella Metz; his mother Jan Boggess and husband Larry of Cincinnati, Ohio; five sisters: Tracey Famouri, Kelly Sohoza, Toni Ouzts, Jesse Foppe and Nicki Boggess; a brother Bobbi Metz,and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father Robert. In lieu of flowers, Joe's family respectfully requests that all gifts be in the form of memorial donations to benefit a college fund for Austin and Alzheimers research.
