Ronald L. Collins, age 71, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015, at a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Logan Park Cemetery. Collins, son of Leonard and Della (Ellsworth) Collins, was born February 21, 1944, at Omaha, Nebraska. Ronald lived in a group home environment for most of his life. He frequently attended the churches near his home. Ron enjoyed watching westerns and war movies, going on day trips out of town, playing electronic games, listening to the scanner, listening to music, enjoying the entertainment at the Hard Rock Café, and cheering on the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Ronald was well known for wearing numerous hat pins. Ronald is survived by: his sister Julia "Bernice" Harper of Sioux City; a brother Arley Collins of Omaha; and a special friend Jack Steele of Sioux City. He was preceded in death by his parents and many brothers and sisters.
