Gary L. Roepke, 64, of Merrill, Iowa passed away Friday June 26, 2015 at a Sioux Falls hospital. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday July 2, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hinton, Iowa Visitation will be Wednesday July 1, 2015 from 5 till 8 p.m. with the family present from 5 till 8 p.m. and a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. by the Tyrian Lodge #508 A.F. & A.M.at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com Gary L. Roepke was born November 2, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Darrell and Charlene (Oltmanns) Roepke. Gary was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hinton, Iowa. He married Carole Jaacks on September 6, 1980 in Elk Point, South Dakota she preceded him in death on July 7, 2000 in Merrill, Iowa. In 1991 the Roepke family moved from Sioux City to Merrill Iowa Mr. Roepke served in the United States Army and received his Honorable Discharge on February 1, 1976. In 1989 Gary and Carole Roepke opened and operated Le Mars Glass With his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, loved cooking, target shooting, watching westerns, but most of all spending time with family and friends. Gary was a member of the Masonic Tyrian Lodge # 508 A.F. & A.M. and past member of the Shrine Campers Unit. Mr. Roepke is survived by his two children: Tyrel Roepke and his wife Alyssa of Hinton, Iowa; his daughter Stacy Heydon and her husband Justin of Akron, Iowa; father Darrell Roepke; two sisters Pam Stoltze and special friend, Ron Fisher and Lynne Dahl and her husband, Jerry; and two granddaughters Jordan and her fiance Nick and Jessen He is preceded in death by his wife, mother, brother Darrell Dean, In-laws Ed and Alice Jaacks, brother in law Mark Stoltze and great-nephew Briggs Allen
