George R. Stamp, 74 of Sioux City, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 at a local hospital. A Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Calvary Cemetery with Reverend R. Paul Johnston offering prayers. Visitation, with family present, will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23rd at the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with a Prayer Service beginning Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com George was born on June 29, 1940 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to George R. and Tilda E. (Olson) Stamp. After finishing his high school education, he went to Western Iowa Tech and received education in hospital maintenance for a year and furthered his education at the National Business Training College for a year and a half. George enjoyed his career as Hydronic Engineer at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City. He was a proud member of Trinity Lutheran Church. George is survived by his brother Ronald Stamp of Brooklyn, New York. George was preceded in death by his parents, sister Shirley, and brother Bill.
