He was a most amazing, spectacular boy. Mason cared deeply about others and always stood up for people in need. He loved music, clothes, "styling" shoes, and hats. Mason never left the house without a favorite hat and making sure his beautiful red hair was perfect. Mason enjoyed time with family and his many friends. He was an adventurous young boy, who loved to camp, fish, catch frogs, turtles, and snakes. Mason loved sports, especially football - a Viking & Iowa fan. He enjoyed skateboarding, biking, video games, and gardening with Grand Ma. He would often earn his own money by mowing and helping grandparents; and would immediately want to spend his earnings on everyone else or helping out Mom. His heart was as big as life! He is a hero. Mason was baptized at Calvary Lutheran Church and was a student at North Middle School. He was an organ donor and saved several lives. Mason is survived by his mother Danielle Johnson and his bonus father Brent Johnson, brothers Cadell and Kyler Johnson, sister Anaya Thomas Johnson; father Kenneth Reed and his wife Jennifer Reed and brothers Declan Reed, Devon Wood, sisters Caprice Fields and Destinee Reed; grandparents Scott and Diana Kunkel, John and Raine Johnson, Steve and JoAnn Martin, and Ron and Virla McKinley; aunts and uncles John Reed and Brenda Versani, Tim Snuttier and Stormie Reed, Josie Versani, Billy Sebade, Jordann Kunkel, and Lonnie Kunkel; numerous cousins, great aunts and uncles. Mason was preceded in death by his uncle Nathan Martin, aunt Lindsay Sabade, great-grandparents Darwin and Darlene Martin and Virgil and Adeline Woock.
