Lillian C. "Lill" Pospeshil, 96 of Sioux City passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at her residence after a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Rev. Michael Erpelding will officiate. Burial will be at the Grimton Cemetery, rural Orchard, NE. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. There will be a rosary recited by the Catholic Daughters of the Americas at 4:00 P.M. with a vigil service at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Lill was born March 15, 1919 in Epiphany, SD. She was the daughter of John and Lena (Bregelman) Wehner. She came to Sioux City in 1933, and graduated from Central High School. She married Harold L. Pospeshil April 13, 1942 in Sioux City. After 60 years of marriage, he passed away, January 20, 2002 in Sioux City. Lill and Harold owned and operated Pospeshil Photographers for many years, specializing in wedding photography. She also assisted Harold, in their postcard business. Lill was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Rosary Society, and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, camping, traveling and wintering with their daughter and son-in-law in California. They also enjoyed taking care of their grandchildren. Survivors include her children: Janet Walker and her husband Michael of Winchester, CA. Victor Hurd (former son-in-law) of Aguanga, CA; Jerry Pospeshil, and his very dear friend, Kathy Quinn, of Sioux City; 5 grandchildren: Heather Smith (Patrick), Ryan Hurd, Jade Pospeshil (Shelly), Jeret Pospeshil, Jewell Young (Todd); 8 great grandchildren: Taylor Smith, Connor Smith, Mason Pospeshil, Maddison Pospeshil, Ty Pospeshil, Jace Pospeshil, Jaden Young and Lillian Young. Lill was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, 13 brothers and sisters and a daughter-in- law, Judie Pospeshil. She was the light of her family's lives, a dear friend of all, and will be missed by many.
