Scott Bryan Fritz, 44, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015, at his residence. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Scott was born on Oct. 9, 1970, in Sioux City, the son of Arthur D. and Glenda A. (McCall) Fritz. He graduated from North High School and then moved to Phoenix, Ariz., to attend art school. After returning to Sioux City, Scott worked for Sioux City Parks and Recreation for 10 years and most recently worked for Load King for the past seven years. Scott was an avid collector of knives, guns and hot wheels. He enjoyed vintage cars and owned a 1970 Firebird. Scott was a huge Jeff Gordon fan and loved collecting DuPont memorabilia. He also owned various reptiles including lizards and tree frogs. Scott was a very talented artist and enjoyed making art out of the simplest things. His memories will be treasured by his family and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Scott in survived by his father, Arthur D. (Sandy) Fritz of Sioux City; brothers, Arthur F. Fritz of Sioux City, and Jody (Laura) Gravedoni of Omaha; sister, Kim Fritz of Sioux City; stepbrother, Tom Boyer (Jackie Mosier) of Sioux City; stepsister, Melissa (Corey) Brand of Sioux City; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda A. Fritz; a sister, Shawn C. Fritz; and a brother, Lynn M. Richardson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family in Scott's memory.
