Beverly F. Rasmussen

Beverly F. Rasmussen, 86 of Sioux City passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at a Sioux City hospital. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. The Rev. Stacey Gerhart will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 P. M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Sunday all at the funeral home. Beverly was born December 18, 1928 in Lusk, Wyoming. Her parents were Clarence & Verda (Walter) Sides. She married Harold Rasmussen April 28, 1951. Harold passed away on January 21, 1988 in Sioux City. Bev was employed at Pecaut & Company for 50 years. She was well known for her enthusiasm while answering the telephone saying "Goood Morning, Pecaut & Company". Bev was also known for her red hair and her sense of fashion, both in shoes as well as clothes. Ballroom and Country Western dancing were her passions and after a night of dancing when asked how the evening went her response was "VA VA VA Voom". She is survived by special friend Cliff Edwards of Sioux City, sisters-in-law Marlene Sides of Cheyenne, WY, Ellen Karrer of Sioux City and Elsie (Milt) Peters of South Sioux City, NE. Nieces are Sheila (Jim) Tangney, Lisa (Chris) Gilbert, Vicky (Brett) West, Dawn Sides and nephew Monty (Terri) Sides as well as many great-nephews and nieces. Bev also had many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Ralph and Doug Sides; sister-in-law Beth Sides; and nephew Ken Sides. Memorials may be made to the South Sioux City Eagles or the Siouxland Humane Society.
