Trudy Jean Anderson

Trudy Jean Anderson, 68, of Sioux City passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 P.M. with the family present from 6-8 P.M. and a Vigil Service held at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Trudy was born October 10, 1946 in Sioux City, the daughter of Michael Emery and Dolores Hattie (Wickey) Pederson. She graduated from Heelan High School. Trudy married Lewie Anderson on July 11, 1964 in Sioux City. The couple made their home in Germantown, Maryland where they raised three children. After the couple divorced in 1989, Trudy moved back to her home town of Sioux City. She worked in medical records for Mercy Hospital and retired as a clerk for the Emergency Room in 2012 after 22 years of service. Trudy loved the outdoors and enjoyed doing her yardwork. She was a lover of animals and was especially fond of dogs and cats. She looked forward to her lunches with friends from Mercy and her trips to Maryland to visit family, but Trudy's greatest love was her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her three children: Diane (Erich) Sonnenberg of New Market, MD, Laura Hill of Sioux City, and Lewie (Kerry) Anderson of Mount Airy, MD; Four Siblings: Lynn (Larry) McDermott of Omaha, NE, Michael (Ann) Pederson of Huntsville, AL, Donna (Lin) Pederson of Evanston, IL, and Vicki (Terry) Brown of Sioux City; Seven Grandchildren: Michael Bush, Katie Bush, Kelsey Sonnenberg, Tim Sonnenberg, Courtney Anderson, Kayla Anderson, and Ryan Anderson; great granddaughter: Nora Bush; Five Nieces and Nephews: Michael McDermott, Mark McDermott, Tim McDermott, Michael Pederson, and Kerri Brown. Trudy was preceded in death by her parents and two nieces Kimberly Brown and Michaeline Haase.
