Marie A. Counter

Marie A. Counter, 92 of Sioux City passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Marie has been cremated and services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Marie was born November 1, 1922 in Lyons, NE; she was the daughter of Emil and Alma (Nelson) Holmberg. Marie lived most of her life in Sioux City. She married Nap Counter. Marie enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, her pets and cooking. Survivors include her 3 daughters: Karen Cizek of Omaha, NE, Sharon Krommenhoek of Omaha, NE and Emily Miller of Sioux City; 5 grandchildren: Christine Netterville (Andy), Ashley Miller, Jason Cizek, Kara Cizek and Brent Cizek (Bobbie); 6 great grandchildren: Ethan Netterville, Carson Netterville, Hannah Cizek, Cody Cizek, Casey Cizek, Caden Cizek and one on the way. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Nap and one sister and three brothers.
