Juliana Juli Brown, 88, of Sioux City passed away Saturday April 4, 2015 at a Sioux City nursing home. Memorial service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday March 9, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time Thursday night. Juliana was born February 16th 1927 in Danbury, Iowa the daughter of Thomas C. and Bessie I (Hardman) Walsh Sr. They moved to Sioux City in 1936 during the depression. What they lacked in money they made up for with love. She married Richard Brown July 5, 1947, they later divorced Julie graduated from Central High School with the class of 1945. She worked as a secretary, office manager, bookkeeper and accountant, she retired in 1991 from Boys and Girls Home and Family Services She loved crocheting, baby sitting her grandchildren, dancing, walking, golfing and variety puzzles. During her daughters school years she served 14 years in the P. T. A. Julie is survived by two daughters Cathy and her husband Dave Watterson and Carla and husband Doug Curtis, Six grandchildren; Andrea Ruiz, Wyatt Hagan, Jeffrey Watterson, Daniel Watterson, Eric Curtis and Carley Curtis. Thirteen great-grandchildren; Genesis, Gabriel, Nathanael, Benjamin, Isaac Ruiz. Matthew, Jacob, Tyler, Andrew, Zachary Hagan. Wesley Curtis, Taylar and Riley Anderson and many dear friends. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Mary Maxon and Pauline Groves, brother Thomas C. Walsh Jr., granddaughter in law Jennifer Watterson and her dog Mickey. No flowers please contributions to the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.
