Michael L. Mick" Morley, 59 of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at a Sioux City Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Rev. Michael Erpelding will officiate. Private family burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday all at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Mick was born November 26, 1955 in Sioux City; he was the son of Robert and June (Edwards) Morley. Mick grew up in Sioux City, he attended Clark Elementary School, Hoover Junior High and Heelan High School before graduating from North High School in 1975. Mick married Linda Berens August 14, 1990 in Las Vegas, NV. He worked for the Holiday Inn for 18 years, Prince Manufacturing for 7 years and was currently working for the Sioux City Community School District at Lincoln Elementary School. He was affectionately known by the students as "Mr. Mick" and he received the "Teacher of the Year" award at Lincoln Elementary School. Mick was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and camping at Pickstown, SD and Mick was a fan of the Chicago Bears and New York Yankees. Survivors include: his wife Linda of Sioux City; a daughter: Lindsey Morley of Sioux City; 2 sons: Jim Nolen (Pam) of Sioux City and Aaron Nolen (Marcee) of Sioux City; his mother: June Morley of Sioux City; 2 brothers: William Morley of Sioux City and Terry Morley (Allison) of Beresford, SD; a sister: Mary Morley of Sioux City; 5 grandchildren: James Nolen (Shelby), Tyler Nolen (Haley), Joshua Nolen, C.J. Nolen (Brianna) and Amber Nolen. Mick was preceded in death by his father, Robert; a son: Corey Nolen; a sister: Patricia; 2 nephews; Kelly Morley and Christopher Alexander. Pallbearers will be James, Tyler, Josh, C.J., and Amber Nolen and Joe Chmura.
