Mary A. Dunham

Mary A. Dunham, 78 of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Father William J. Vit, Jr. as officiant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with family present at 6:00 p.m. and a Vigil Service beginning Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences for the family may be offered at www.meyerbroschapels.com Mary was born on May 12, 1936 in Wynot, Nebraska to Louis and Helen (Schulte) Liese. She received her education in the Wynot Public Schools. Mary was a homemaker her entire life. She moved to Sioux City in the 1960's where she has enjoyed her membership to the Cathedral Of The Epiphany. Mary was faithful in praying the Rosary, and she enjoyed word-search puzzles, crossword puzzles, paint-by-number projects, along with cross stitching. She loved to visit, was very loving, and had a big heart for many people. Mary is survived by her son Glen (Becky) Askeland of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, son Gordon (Dawn) Brown of Sioux City, and daughter Helen Dunham of South Sioux City, NE; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ronald Liese. Casket Bearers for the service will be Glen Askeland, Helen Dunham, Rick Arndt, Gordon Brown, Lyle Henry III, and Will Meier.
