Doris E. Sandbulte, 74 of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at a Sioux City hospital. Memorial Services will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Fellowship and refreshments will follow at the American Legion Post 307 in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com Doris was born on May 27, 1940 in Santee, Nebraska to Valentine and Louise (Campbell) Trudell. She received her education in the Sioux City Public Schools. She married Jack Berg, to which union two sons were born. Later in life, Doris married Arlon Sandbulte. Doris enjoyed shopping, boating, and loving animals. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She worked for numerous years for Randall's Formal Wear and continued with Tip Top Tux as a seamstress before her retirement in 2012. Doris was a proud member of the Santee Sioux Nation. Doris is survived by her sons Douglas (Wife Jamie) Berg of McCook Lake, SD and Darin (Kelly) Berg of South Sioux City, NE; grandchildren Seth, Jacob, Allison, Shana, McKayla, and Anthony; sisters Alma "Mickey" (Tom) Glieser of Sioux City, IA, Mary Rosene of McCook Lake, SD, and Valetta (Donald) Hauge of Sioux City, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her parents.
