Marilyn E. Ronning

Marilyn E. Ronning, 89 of Sioux City, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Touchstone Living Center. A Graveside Service will be at 9:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Katie Whipple of the First Presbyterian Church offering prayers. Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Marilyn was born on August 6, 1925 in Morgan, MN to Edward J. and Harriet Mielke. She received her education in Sioux City, graduating from Leeds High School before continuing her education at the University of South Dakota. Marilyn worked at Harvey's Laundry before beginning her 23 year career at Hoerner Waldorf/Champion/Stone-Smurfit Container Corporation. She enjoyed watching sports, working on crosswords, and playing cards with friends. Marilyn is survived by her daughter Roberta Dismuke and her husband Marc of Anderson, IN and cousins Pat and Adell O'Hara and family of Eastern Oregon. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents.
