SOUTH SIOUX CITY | Elaine E. "Garb" Sullivan, 75, of South Sioux City, NE went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 6, 2015 at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Good News Baptist Church, 3200 W. 19th St. in Sioux City with Pastor John Woodford officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Elaine was born March 23, 1939 in Ontonagon, Mich. the daughter of Emil and Evelyn Vada where she grew up on the beach of Lake Superior. She completed her education in Ontonagon and moved to South Sioux City in her early 20's to live with her father. She met and married Gerald Sullivan and that union lasted for 27 years. The couple divorced in 1982. Elaine then found the true love of her life, Carl Bronner, who she has been with for the last 25 years. Elaine's passion in life was raising her four children. Elaine loved to go to North Sioux City to gamble and betting on her favorite dog, Homespun Sugar'. She also loved her cat, Pretty Girl' as well as taking care of the cats in the neighborhood. Survivors include her true soulmate, Carl Little Man' Bronner; 2 sons, Terry Sullivan and Shawn (Nancy) Sullivan all of Sioux City; 2 daughters, Julie (Mike) Jenkins of Sioux City and Pam (Mitch) Lower of Salix, IA; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
