Loretta L. "Ret" Chase, 71, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at a local hospital. Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time. Burial will be at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery. Loretta was born the daughter of Sterling and Lola (Bagley) Armstrong on April 8, 1943 in Sioux City, Iowa. She attended Central High School. She and her son, Keith lived in lived in Kansas for 11 years before returning to Sioux City when Keith was a teenager. She worked at Zenith, Stone Container, Gateway, and Matney's Colonial Manor until her retirement. Those left to cherish her memory will remember her as someone who loved to bowl and enjoy a game of cards or bingo. Her first devotion was being a mother to her son, Keith. She was also a step-mother to Sharon and Mitch, opening her heart and home to them when they needed her most. We will miss that twinkle in her eye and quick smile for those she loved. Loretta is survived by her son, Keith Chase and special friend, Sheila Bair of Sioux City; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Janell Armstrong of Omaha, NE; sister and brother-in-law, Peg and Rog Thompson of Sioux City; special niece, Sharon Fox of Monroe, WA; special nephew, Mitchel Chase of Carroll, IA; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Shirley Chase and Jeanne Molitor.
