Laura C. Buchanan

Laura C. Buchanan, 57, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at a local hospital after a long battle with cancer. Abiding by her wishes her body has been cremated. Private family graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Laura was born the daughter of Raymond Parker and Margaret George on January 6, 1958 in Sioux City. She spent 20 years in California with her mother before moving back to Sioux City in 1982. Laura enjoyed singing karaoke, line dancing, and poetry. She raised and trained Cockatiel birds for several years. She volunteered as a clown at the local hospitals. Laura loved life and never complained about her illness. Laura is survived by her mother, Margaret Jamieson of Sioux City.
