Evyonne H. Hansen

Evyonne H. Hansen, 89, of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, February 23, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 4 to 8 P.M. with family present from 6 to 8 P.M. with a Rosary at 4 P.M. and Vigil at 7 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Evyonne was born the daughter of Arthur and Laura (Hein) Hayes on April 28, 1925 in Danbury, Iowa. She attended St. Patrick's Academy in Danbury, LeMars Central, and Sioux City East High School. Evyonne married Albert Reinbold on May 4, 1946 in Sioux City. After their marriage, they lived in Ute, Iowa where they owned and operated the Reinbold Standard Service Station. They later moved to Sioux City. Albert died in 2000. Evyonne later married Henry Hansen on September 21, 2002 in Sioux City. Henry died in 2008. Through the years she was employed by Johnson Biscuit Co., National Foods, Verstegen Printing, Verzani Printing, and then enjoyed retirement. In her early years, Evyonne enjoyed shooting archery, ballroom dancing, camping, and fishing. She was well known for cooking and her 2nd place Apple Pie at the Clay County Fair. Most of all she loved nothing more than spending time with her family, friends and her Yorkie, Molly. Evyonne was a member of the Altar Society, Soo Bowman Archery, the American Legion Auxiliary Post #64, Chapter AC TTT, and St. Michael Catholic Church. Evyonne is survived by her daughter, Barbara Phillips of Sioux City; three step daughters and their husbands, Sherry and Pat Aguirre, Mindy and Russ Kinnaman and Liz Skinner all of Sioux City; one granddaughter, Lori and husband Steven Jennings of Spencer, Iowa; three great grandchildren, Jonathan and wife Bailey, Hailey, and Alexander Jennings; five step grandchildren, Christine Goodwin, Melissa Goodwin, Eden and husband Ross Olson, Corinne Newport and Aaron Hansen; four step great-grandchildren, Bailey Goodwin, Jack Olson, Alexis and Alyssa Newport. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one son, Bobby Reinbold; one brother, Bobby Hayes; one sister, Delores Jensen; and granddaughter, Shelly Phillips.
