Margaret A. Ficken

Margaret A. Ficken, 80 of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Margaret will be cremated and services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Rev. Anna Speiser will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Margaret was born October 30, 1934 in Lodgepool, NE; she was the daughter of Winnifred and Pearl (Clark) Beeken. Margaret came to the Sioux City area in 1942. She worked for the Sioux City Community School District for 20 years and retired in 2000. Margaret loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. Survivors include 3 daughters: Ragina Davis, Melissa Jasper (Larry Moyer) and Kerry Denney all of Sioux City; 6 grandchildren: Jason Sands (Tori Olbry), Misty Sands (Mark Isom), Justin Jasper, Lucas White, Dillon Prine and Destiney Denney; 11 great grandchildren; a sister: Patsy Cownie of South Sioux City, NE. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Leslie, Lawrence and David; 3 sisters: Midge, Betty and Wilma.
