Thomas M. Wagner

Thomas M. "Wags" Wagner, 64 of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Tom will be cremated and services will be at 6:00 P.M. Friday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Visitation with the family present will be from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Tom was born October 19, 1950 in Slayton, MN; he was the son of Ben and Marie (Johansen) Wagner. Tom grew up in Iona and Slayton, MN and graduated from Slayton High School. After high school, Tom moved to Spencer, IA where he met the love of his life. Tom married Judy Verner February 7, 1969 in Spencer, IA. Tom worked in sales for over 25 years before helping to start the family business, BenStar Packing. He was a member of Whispering Creek Golf Club and loved to golf, fish and vacation in Las Vegas. Tom enjoyed having fun with his family and friends, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time in Okoboji. Tom loved to grill out and play cards especially crazy eights with Judy. Survivors include his wife Judy of Sioux City, 3 children: Brenda Henrichs (Keylon) of San Tan Valley, AZ, Tammy Wagner of Spencer, IA, Brian Wagner (Tara) of Sioux City; 6 grandchildren: Tyler Lewis, Kameron Henrichs, Breyden Henrichs, Kasey DeBerg, Paige Wagner and Brecken Wagner; 2 brothers and a sister. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
