Larry D Heatherington

Larry D. Heatherington, 76 of Sioux City passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. There will be a visitation with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. Private family graveside services will be held in Fort Dodge, IA. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Larry was born February 18, 1938 in Fort Dodge, IA; he was the son of Raymond and Viola (Chase) Heatherington. Larry grew up in Otho, IA and graduated from Otho High School. He married Colleen A. McIntyre April 22, 1956 in Otho, IA. Larry was the general manager for several soy processing plants and retired from AGP. He enjoyed spending time with his family and coin collecting. Survivors include his wife Colleen of Sioux City; 5 children: Jeffrey Heatherington (Lynette) of Portland, OR, Chris Heatherington (Cheryl) of Thackerville, OK, Karla Saroch (Edward) of Edmund, OK, Todd Heatherington of Omaha, Deborah Stills of Sioux Falls, SD; 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Gerald and a sister: Janet.
