Rick A. Lalumendre

Rick A. Lalumendre, 58 of Sioux City, passed away from cancer on Monday, February 2, 2015 comforted by family at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at a later date. Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel is assisting the family. Rick was born on April 1, 1956 in Sioux City. He participated in wrestling in school before graduating from North High. During high school, Rick worked at Normandy's Restaurant and most recently had 30 years with the crew at Wilson Trailer, before ill-health caused his early retirement. He married Rita Wood on April 27, 1974 in Sioux City; to this union two daughters were born. Rick enjoyed boating, music, which included playing his guitar, and spending time with family. Rick is survived by his wife Rita of Sioux City; daughters Nicole Gill and her husband Travis of South Sioux City, Nebraska and Cortney Bollig and her husband Trent of Sioux City, Iowa; 5 grandchildren; sisters Sue (Mike) Schlumbaum of Sioux City and Debra (Bob) Webber of Florida; brothers Les Hair of New Mexico and Dave (Rose) Hair of Mesa, AZ; James and Nancy Lalumendre of Manhattan, IL. Rick was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Hair, father Francis Hair, and sister Cindy Costa.
