Theresa Ann Nelson

Theresa "Terri" Ann Nelson, 64, of Sioux City passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at a Sioux City Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Father Michael Erpelding officiating. Following the service her body will be cremated and burial of her cremains will be at a later date. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7:00p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Terri was a genuinely happy person that radiated joy to those around her. She loved to meet new people and quickly made special and deep connections-- to her, no one was a stranger. She was a kind sole and could bring out the best in people. She lived an enriched life with the support and love of her family, her friends at PACE, and others involved in her life. She had a special love for listening to the music of Patsy Cline and Lawrence Welk. Singing and listening to music, praying with the Chaplain for others, and making friends brought her the most bliss. She is survived by her mother Joyce Nelson; 2 brothers Dale L. Nelson and Kenneth L. Nelson; sister Rita H. Nelson all of Sioux City; niece Misty M. Nelson of Des Moines, IA; and a nephew Jason Nelson of Rapid City, SD. She was preceded in death by her father, maternal grandparents Ferd and Helen Osterholt, paternal grandparents Nels and Helen Nelson.
