Loisrae Riedesel

Loisrae Riedesel, 78, of Sioux City passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Rev. Dan Doran officiating. Burial will be in the Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences may be sent www.meyerbroschapels.com Loisrae was born on August 31, 1936 to Harry and Nellie (Rice) Patterson in Sioux City. She graduated from Central High School and served her country in the US Army in the clerical department. After returning home she was united in marriage to Paul Riedesel on August 15, 1956 in Sioux City, he preceded her in death on January 29, 1998 in Sioux City. She was a Nurse for many years at Jackson Recovery Centers and took great pride in working and helping the many youth over the years. She also helped run the family business at Siouxland Lock and Key. She enjoyed sewing and bargain shopping. Loisrae is survived by her two sons Ron (Sharm) Riedesel and John (Christine) Riedesel both of Sioux City; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sister-in-laws and one brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Michael, grandson Ben and 8 brothers.
