Dale Hein died Saturday morning in Sioux City at the age of 72. He was at home with his family. A memorial mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father Michael Erpelding officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial of his cremains will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. He attended Jefferson, SD high school and was a veteran of the US Army. He married Teresa McMahon in 1968 and they settled in Sioux City to raise their family. His children remember him as a hardworking, honest, loving father and his grandchildren as a man they adored. Dale was an avid bowler, golfer, and Hawkeye fan. He had bowled three perfect 300 games and loved to be around his friends. Dale is survived by his wife of 46 years Teresa Hein of Sioux City, his children, Dale Hein and Ron Kurtz of Alcester, SD, Chad Hein and his wife Beth of Dallas, TX, Brett Hein of Sioux City, and five grandchildren of Dallas, TX.
