Richard Ronald Brown

Richard Ronald Brown, 79, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday January 13, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Brown's body will be cremated and no services will be held. Mr. Brown was born July 17, 1935 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Clifford and Vera (Schuck) Brown. He married Joyce L Stewart on September 3, 1976 in Sioux City, Iowa Richard graduated from Sioux City East High School and attended Morningside Collage for two years. He served his country in the United States Marines for four years. He was a member of the Abu Bekr Shrine Temple where he served as the president of the Clown Unit. Mr. Brown was also a past member of St. James United Methodist Church. Richard was employed as a truck driver for 40 years and then was employed as a van driver by the B.N.S.F. Railroad for 12 years until his retirement. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife Joyce L. Brown of Sioux City, eight children, several grandchildren, one step daughter, one sister of Carl Junction, MO. and one very close friend Paul Pottorff of Correctionville Iowa.
