Rev. Charles William "Bill" Schulze, Jr., 79, of South Sioux City, NE, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2104 at the Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Rev. Katie Whipple will officiate. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 P.M. Monday until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Charles William Schulze, Jr. was born May 22, 1935 in East St. Louis, IL; he was the son of Charles and Sara "Sally" (Curry) Schulze. He received his undergraduate degree from Culver-Stockton College, Canton, Missouri and a Masters of Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. He was ordained into the Presbyterian Church in 1960. He married Glenda M. Kennedy on December 22, 1956 in Hannibal, MO. The couple later divorced. He was an assistant minister at many churches, the last one being First Presbyterian Church in Sioux City. After that, he was a chaplain in the Chemical Dependency Unit (CDU) at St Vincent Hospital in Sioux City. Survivors include his daughters: Margaret Behrens and her husband Duane of Sioux City, Mary Ocker and her husband John of Shawnee, KS; grandsons: Noah and Ethan Behrens and granddaughters: Kate and Lauren Ocker; nephews David Rose, of Rockwall, TX and Dwane Rose of Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Sara "Sally" Schulze, his sister: Marian Rose and her husband Oliver "Ollie" rose, and a daughter, Martha Anne Schulze.
