Agnes H. Kruger, 87, of Sergeant Bluff passed away on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at a local nursing facility. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Tom Murray of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation, with family present, will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday. She received her education at the Iowa School for the Deaf in Council Bluffs, Iowa.She married Dean Kruger on Nov. 24, 1950, in Doon, Iowa. Agnes worked at FW Means Co. for 11 years and prior to that, worked in the laundry department at a Sioux City hospital. Agnes was a proud member of the Calvary Lutheran Church for the Deaf in Des Moines, Iowa, the Siouxland Association for the Deaf, and she enjoyed staying active through bowling and church groups. Agnes is survived by her daughters, Linda Larsen and her husband, John, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Sally Gambell and her husband, Charles, of Sergeant Bluff; sisters, Sadie Wybenga and Nella Van Aalsburg and her husband, Jerry, all of Artesia, Calif.; four grandchildren, Eric Larsen and his wife, Jennifer, Ryan Larsen and his wife, Rachel, Nicole (Gambell) Opsal and her husband, Jeff, and Katie (Gambell) DeRouchey and her husband, Blake; nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean, in 2010; two sisters; and four brothers.The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Embassy Health Care Community in Sergeant Bluff.
