Janice L. Bristol, 90 of North Sioux City, South Dakota, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at her residence. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Deacon Patricia Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation, with the family present, will be from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. today, Sunday, December 14th at the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com Janice was born on August 29, 1924 in Gayville, South Dakota to Erick and Margaret (Nelson) Christiansen. She received her elementary education in the Jefferson Public Schools and finished her education at Central High School in Sioux City. Janice married Milton Bristol on November 13, 1939 in South Sioux City, Nebraska. She enjoyed being a homemaker to her family, was an avid Dodger Fan, and spent most of her adult years in North Sioux City, South Dakota. Janice is survived by her children Pat Bosse and her husband Dean of Elk Point, SD, Shirley Sexton and her husband Dallas of North Sioux City, SD, Dorothy Galassie, wife of the late Jack Galassie, of Utah, Milt Bristol and his wife Deb of North Sioux City, SD, and Don Bristol and his Fiancé "Bev" of Colorado; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and sister Betty Frazier of Washington. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milton, brothers Ray, Maurice, Lester, "Dutch", and Donnie Christiansen, sisters Laura Breedlove and Ruth Morgan, and one great-granddaughter Emily Hoffman.
