Donald R. "Disco" Jansen, 66 of Lawton, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Banner Township Cemetery, north of Lawton. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to "Boys of 68" c/o Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be offered at www.meyerbroschapels.com Disco was born on November 5, 1948 in Sioux City to Robert and Maxine (Blades) Jansen. He was proud of his membership to, and was a board member of, the "Boys of 68". Disco worked in the maintenance division of United Parcel Service until his retirement in 2008. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan and attendees of his funeral are encouraged to wear Hawkeye clothing. Disco is survived by his close friend, and recent caregiver, Bob Phillips of Sioux City; numerous aunts and uncles; and many cousins. Disco was preceded in death by his parents.
