Jackie Larsen of Littleton, NH suddenly passed away November 14, 2014, after a brief illness. She had lived at Riverglen House for over three years. Jackie was formerly of Sioux City, IA and had lived in the Midwest most of her life. She was born on May 18, 1934 in Rapid City, SD. She grew up in Miller, SD and attended college in Huron and Aberdeen, SD. Northern College is where she met her husband of almost fifty years, Arnold F Larsen of Redfield, SD. They were married on December 23, 1959. They called many places home before settling down in Sioux City IA. There, Jackie was active in Eastern Star, St. Thomas Orthodox Church's women's club and raising her two children. She loved embroidery and gardening, especially tending roses and lilies, attending church and welcoming new people into her life. She is survived by her daughter Jean (Larsen) Ellington and husband Chris, her son Terry Larsen and wife Rebecca, grandchildren Ainsley and Holden Larsen, a brother-in-law C George Larsen and his children, Susan Larsen, Judy and Kevin Stalsberg and Bruce and Shantel Larsen and a sister-in-law Lavina Porter. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold Larsen in 2009, her brother Lowell "Boomer" Porter and her sister-in-law Verlyn Larsen. Jackie's funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at St. Thomas Orthodox church, Sioux City, Iowa with visitation one hour prior to services. A memorial with internment will be held at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City on Saturday, January 3rd at 10 am followed by a Mercy meal at St. Thomas Orthodox Church. Jackie's family will greet friends one hour prior to services at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jackie's name to a charity of your choice.
