Jo Ann Vandemore

Jo Ann Vandemore, 73, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday November 19, 2014 at a Sioux City hospital. Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday November 24, 2014 at Holy Spirit Retirement Home Chapel with Father Dennis Meinen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at Holy Spirit. Jo Ann Vandemore,was born December 13, 1940 in Remsen, Iowa the daughter of Lewis and Cecilia (Muller) Goergen. She attended and graduated Remsen St. Mary's and graduated in the class of 1959. Jo Ann was employed at Wal Mart where she worked as a sales clerk in the Jewelry Department When not working she loved to read, watch football, basketball, attending flea markets, but most of all she got her joy from spending time with her family and friends. Jo Ann will always be remembered for her long and beautiful finger nails. She is survived by one son Vance and his wife Donna of Viborg, SD, one daughter Terry Thompson and her husband Brian of Idaho Falls ID. Two loving brothers five loving sisters and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
