Terrence N. Martin, 79, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at a Sioux City Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church with the Very Rev. Armand J. Bertrand officiating followed by Military Rites conducted by the 185th Air Refueling Wing Honor Guard. Following the services his body will be cremated and burial of his cremains will take place at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8 P.M. with a Rosary Service at 4:00 P.M. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com Terry was born on October 17, 1935 in Cherokee, IA to Donald and Ruth (Kelley) Martin. He graduated from Central High School and attended Hawarden College. He was united in Marriage to Colleen Houlton on February 11, 1956 in Sioux City. Terry proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in 1968. After returning home he served with the 185th Air Refueling Wing as a Flight Line Mechanic retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant in 1987. Following his retirement, he continued maintain his lifelong bond with the 185th and his fellow servicemen. Terry had a love for airplanes and cars. If he could work on it, fix it, drive it, fly it, or just stand back and admire it, he would. He also enjoyed watching movies, cooking, experiencing different foods and always looked forward to taking his wife out to experience all the fine dining this town had to offer. He had many loves and interests in his life, but above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Terry was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, R.A.T.S., Boys of '68, Mended Hearts and was instrumental in advocating the Amputee Support Group in Sioux City. He is survived by his wife Colleen Martin of Sioux City; children, Kim (Les) Martin-Zold of Rio Vista, CA; Timothy Martin of Thornton, CO; Kelly (John) Meis of Louisville, KY; daughter-in-law Debra Martin of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren, Dawn, Aaron of Lodi, CA; Spencer, Katie and Max, raised in Sioux City; Mikah, Kirby and Kelsey, of West Minster, CO; and Stacy and Samantha raised in Sioux City; 5 great grandchildren; brother James (Kim) Martin of Tampa, FL; sisters Kristine (John) Taylor of DeBary, FL; and Sandra Martin of Orlando, FL. and friend Debbie Hawes of Orland, Fl. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Kevin Martin.
