Delbert Al Biggerstaff Jr., age 57, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and formerly of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014, at his home in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2014, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Meyer Brother Colonial Chapel. Delbert Biggerstaff, Jr., son of Delbert and Brenda (Cooley) Biggerstaff, was born April 11, 1957, at Sioux City, Iowa. He grew up in Sioux City and graduated from West High School. On August 26, 1978, he was united in marriage with Teresa Bahmer at the Assembly of God Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska. For 38 years, Delbert was a union asbestos worker for Local #57 out of Sioux City. He also served as president of Local #57. He made his home in Sioux City until 2000 when he moved to Dakota Dunes. In 2010, he moved to Sioux Falls and worked at Midwest Muffler and Tire in Tea, South Dakota. Delbert was a member of the Whitfield United Methodist Church. He was a great father, grandfather and a lovely person. Delbert had many loves, including riding around on his motorcycle and driving his car. For many years, he was a great bowler. Delbert is survived by: a son Del Joseph Biggerstaff and his fiancée Sylvia Janovick; his parents Delbert and Brenda Biggerstaff; a brother Brian Biggerstaff and his wife Lori; a granddaughter Jordin; three grandsons: David, Ben and Noah; an aunt Sandra Stenum; a nephew Christopher Stenum; and his ex-wife Teresa Biggerstaff. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Helen Gibbons.
