Wade Carlson

Wade Carlsen, 52, of Hornick passed away Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at his residence. No services are being planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Wade was born on Jan. 15, 1962, in Sioux City, the son of Edward and Marjorie (Steiber) Carlsen. Wade grew up in Sioux City and attended North High School. He later earned his general education diploma. Right out of high school, Wade began working in the plumbing business and continued that vocation until switching to the seamless gutter business several years ago. In 1983, Wade was united in marriage with Nadine Conley in Elk Point, S.D. One son, Chad, was born to this marriage. Wade made his home in the Sioux City area his whole life. He enjoyed riding four wheelers and dirt bikes, and going canoeing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends on his acreage near Hornick. Survivors include his wife, Nadine Carlsen of Minneapolis; a son, Chad Carlsen of Monroe, Wash.; three grandchildren, Michael, Caitlyn, and Colleen; and a brother, Grant Carlsen of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents.
