Joyce Oftedal

Joyce A Oftedal, 58, of Sioux City, died suddenly Tuesday October 28 at Touchstone Living Center. A private graveside service was held at Logan Park Cemetery in Sioux City. She has been laid to rest near her parents. Joyce was born August 23, 1956 in Minneapolis MN to S Martin and W Rose (Litterick) Oftedal. The youngest of four daughters, Joyce attended Sioux City schools until 1973. She did earn a GED later in life. Even though Joyce was disabled and in bad health for the majority of her life, she enjoyed numerous crafts. She could easily make a friend. She enjoyed spending time with family and her many friends. She will be sincerely missed. Survivors include children: Charles Thomas of Sioux City; Marie Oftedal of Sioux City and Rachel Morris-Oftedal of Bismarck ND. Her grandchildren include: Damion, Katie, Samuel and Martin Petersen of Sioux City; Grace Morris and Jase Gross of Bismark ND. Other Survivors include her sisters: Rose (Chuck) Warner of Sioux City; Betty (Dennis) Stading of Omaha NE; Mary Oftedal of Sioux City and numerous nieces and nephews.
