Dean A. Lambert

Dean A. Lambert, 85, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Touchstone Living Center. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at St. Michaels Catholic Church with Father Linnan officiating, visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com Dean was born on October 31, 1928 in Sioux City to Warren "Duke" Sr. and Gladys Lambert. He graduated from Central High School. He was united in marriage to Ruth Shay on June 10, 1950 in Sioux City. She preceded him in death on July 2, 2011 in Sioux City. With his wife, he owned and operated the family construction business. Dean enjoyed hobby farming, building and flying model planes and a licensed pilot. He also enjoyed the company of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his children James (Jacque) Lambert of Jackson, NE; Jaqueline McCormac of Conifer, CO; Jerome (Angela) Lambert of Sergeant Bluff; Jeffery (Judeka) Lambert of Sioux Falls, SD; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 sons Joseph and John, brothers Warren Jr. and Neil Lambert and a son-in-law Robert McCormac.
