Patricia G. Davidson, 82, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be 6:30 P.M. Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time. Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com. Patricia was born the daughter of Melvin and Gwendolyn (Pontious) Rich on November 13, 1931 in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Central High School in 1950. Patricia married Richard Davidson in January of 1953. They later divorced. Patricia was a Deputy Sherriff of the Woodbury County Sheriff's Department, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed many golf vacations with her friends and gardening. She volunteered her time teaching Sunday school, as a Cub Scout Leader, and a baseball coach. Patricia is survived by four children, Barry Davidson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Brad (Darlys) Davidson of Elk Point, South Dakota, Molly Woodard of Victoria, Minnesota, and Mari (Randy) Farland of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Melvin Vermillion; infant son, Robert; and son-in-law, Mark A. Hanson.
