Bernice M. "Bee" Meloy, 90 of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at a local hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Michael Erpelding as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation, with the family present, will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Bee was born on November 19, 1923 in Sioux City to John and Bernice (Stukonis) Murphy. She received her education in Sioux City, graduating from East High School. She married John C. "Jack" Meloy, to which union, one son was born, Paul Meloy. Bee worked as a secretary in Omaha at Mutual Of Omaha, and held a secretarial position with the S and H Green Stamp Store, which later turned into King Koin. She was faithful to her Lord, holding God first and family second. Bee loved to dance and bowl in your younger years, and as she matured, she enjoyed Bingo, reading, and staying active by walking all over the town of Sioux City. Bee is survived by her granddaughters Holly Kenny and her husband Tom of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota, and Jackie Dodds and her husband Lee of Sioux City; great-grandchildren Tommy Kenny, Jacob Kenny, Kate Kenny, and Jennavieve Dodds, all of Sioux City; and brother Bill Murphy and his wife Joyce of Arnold's Park, Iowa. Bee was preceded in death by her son Paul in 2011.
