SIOUX CITY | Kevin C. Corbett, 54, of Sioux City passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Russell Senstad and Rev. David Zirpel officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be a reception immediately following the service in the church hall. There will be no cemetery services due to Mr. Corbett's wishes to be cremated. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Kevin was born November 11, 1959 in Missouri Valley, Iowa. He was the son of Edwin Earl and Shirley K. (Mackey) Moore. Kevin graduated from Bellevue University in January 2000 and had been a substance abuse counselor in private practice (Morningside Counseling Services) for the past twenty years. He enjoyed traveling, golfing and riding his motorcycle as well as spending time with his sons, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. Survivors include his sons, Jeremy C. Corbett and his wife, Haley and Dillin J. Corbett all of Sioux City; granddaughter, Aubree Corbett; brother, Jamie K. Corbett of Ankeny, Iowa; sisters, Kerry Moore of Atlanta, Georgia and Gayle McMillin of Johnston, Iowa; former wife, Christine Casillas of Marcus, Iowa; former companion, Liecia Patterson of Sioux Falls, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Edwin Corbett and an aunt, Carol Morrison.
