Janice L. Elsner

Janice L. Elsner, 94, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 at a hospital in Bellevue, Nebraska, with her family present. Services will be at l:00 pm Saturday, September 13 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Janice was born on October 14, 1919 in Sioux City, the daughter of Grover and Gladys (Tubbs) Harrington. She married Paul Theodore elsner on April 5, 1941 in Sioux City. During their 66 plus wonderful years together they were blessed with two children, Sharon and Randy. Janice was a homemaker, but loved gardening, bowling, fishing and antiquing. Her family was her first love. Survivors include her daughter Sharon and her husband Russ; three brothers, Donald Harrington of Sioux City, Richard Harrington of Hot Springs, Ark, and Thomas *(Helen) Harrington of Fergus Falls, Minn; 2 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul; and son Randy, a brother, Gerald Harrington and three sisters; Rosemary, Patricia and Jean.
