Mildred Carol Taylor, 93, of Sioux City passed away Monday September 8, 2014 at a Sioux City hospital surrounded by her children, family and friends. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday September 13, 2014 at Kingdom Hall 3713 Green Ave in Sioux City, Iowa Carol Taylor was born November 13, 1920 the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Shook) Hindman in the Leads area of Sioux City. Mildred grew up in Onawa Iowa and received her education from the Onawa Iowa schools. Mildred married Floyd Taylor April 4, 1940 in Onawa, Iowa they then moved to Mapleton, Iowa for one year. In 1942 they moved to San Diego California for one year then back to Onawa in 1943 and returned to Sioux City in 1944. Floyd preceded her in death February 6, 2008 in Sioux City, Iowa. Mildred was a homemaker. When time allowed Mildred love to bake, cook, and dancing with Floyd. Mildred loved all animals and flowers. She had a passion for writing poems and loved music including singing with her sister on a local radio station. Carol was a Jehovah Witness for many years and was a faithful servant of Jehovah God. She also love having company and enjoyed visiting with people about the Bible. Carol is survived by four daughters: Sandra Fritz and her husband Arthur of Sioux City, Deanna Morgan and her husband Robert of Sioux City, Shiela Bell and her husband Steven of Ute, Iowa, Kristina Callender and her husband Daniel of Sioux City. Two sons: Michael Taylor of Sioux City and Steven Taylor and his wife Jackie of Egan, MN; one sister-in-law Coleen Taylor of Cedar Rapids Iowa. Carol enjoyed 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and friends in her life. Carol was preceded in death by her husband parents, step father Claude Sammons, two daughters; Linda and Glenda, three brothers, one sister, granddaughter Shawn and grandson Lynn Richards
