Loretta Ann Baker Alvizo, 51, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at a local hospital. Memorial services will be 7:00 P.M. Loretta was born the daughter of Richard F. and Judith (Wohlford) Baker on September 4, 1963 in Sioux City, Iowa. She was raised by her grandparents, Richard H. and Bernita Baker. In the last years of her life, Loretta and her grandmother were inseparable. Loretta's passions in life were to travel, and experience all that life had to offer. Loretta made friends everywhere she went, and has touched countless lives all across the country. She was a caregiver to all and a lover of animals, especially her dogs, Loki, Flaco, and Pebbles. She was a free spirit who had a heart bigger than her chest. Loretta is survived by her dad, Richard F. Baker; her sister, Debra; two brothers, Richard and Troy; several nieces and nephews; and last but certainly not least, her lifelong companion and best friend, Jimmy Winn. Loretta was preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard H. Baker; mother, Judith Conway; and step-father, Bob Conway. Loretta, we will cherish your memory, and you will live on in our hearts and minds forever. You will be missed.
